This is the perfect example of what I say to my clients regularly,
True internal change is motivated by intense pain, or intense pleasure.
Answer this, if a doctor told you were going to die in a month unless you cleaned up your diet and began to exercise, would you do it?
What if a lottery offered to give you $1,000,000 to do the same thing? Would you do it?
Both are extreme examples, but they paint the picture well. If you want to change, then you have to motivate yourself to change. The outside world can only do so much.
And without that internal fire to keep you going, you’ll likely give up before you reach your goal.
Debbie has dealt with a lot in her past, but it took a cancer scare to motivate her to take action. This became a moment for self-reflection, and she did not like what she saw. Debbie wanted to refocus on her health and to set a healthier example for her son.
